What Vitamins to Take

Often times people are told to make sure to maintain healthy levels of certain vitamins but rarely do people know which vitamins to take every day. If you are someone struggling to find which vitamins to take don't worry this article was written for you, you came to the right place!
Vitamins to Take Daily
1. Vitamin D
Vitamin D is a must when looking to build a healthy diet and achieve overall health & wellness. Vitamin D helps our body to absorb calcium which in turn helps build up our bones making them stronger. Recent studies have shown that a deficiency in Vitamin D may lead to:
- increase back pain
-boneless
-increase chance of getting sick
With Vitamin D it is true we can gain some from direct sunlight but overall many struggle with getting necessary sunlight as people who live in winter conditions, work in an office space suffer from vitamin D deficiency.
As Vitamin D is pivotal for a healthy body it is a must for people to take and maintain on a daily basis.
NoteThe National Institutes of Health (NIH) recommends that children 1-13 years of age and adults 19-70, including pregnant and breastfeeding women, get 600 IU of vitamin D per day. While Older adults should get around 800 IU.
2. Magnesium
A daily nutrient and vitamin which should be found in your daily diet. Magnesium has been shown to increase:
- protein, bone and nervous function
- balance sugar levels
-reduce stress in some instances
However, as magnesium does great things for the body many lack magnesium as most foods lack a good source of the beneficial nutrient.
Note: Nutritionists suggests looking for a supplement with 300-320 mg of magnesium. The NIH agrees, recommending no more than a 350-mg supplement for adults
3. Calcium
On average it is stated 40% of the US population lacks calcium. That is worrying since calcium is responsible for:
- bone health
- teeth health
- stronger bone density
Note: 1000mg is recommended for most adults
4. Zinc
Zinc is known to help wound healing as well as support our immune system. On average people should look to get at least 10mg of since daily but the overall amount depends on a person's diet.
